Beyond institutionally-planned activities and spaces, the Pluriverse* Pavilion is a space for shared experiences and meaningful interactions among students, hosting diverse events such as exhibitions, environmental justice discussions, educational workshops, performances, and meetings. This inclusivity extends to informal gatherings, offering a designated space for students to unwind, relax, and engage in everyday activities such as studying, meditation sessions, and picnics.
This initiative promotes collaborative design thinking and involve a convergence of art, environmental studies, sociology, engineering, and computer science disciplines.
*Pluriverse refers to various ways of being in the world. The Pavilion employs theories and approaches from design activism and critical environmental studies to analyze the relationship between space and difference, including, but not limited to, race, class, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, and species.
